26 photos that prove the drinking culture is out of control
IMHO, tipping culture has gotten out of CONTROL recently. I'm used to tipping 20% ββat restaurants and bars etc, but lately it's like EVERYWHERE expects a tip.
I also can't stand the *turns iPad* "It's just going to ask you a question..." that's normal now. It's so awkward. Can't we just say what it is??? A tip screen, for crying out loud!
Okay, sorry, whine over it. But if you're as excited as I am on the subject, here are 26 photos that will make you seethe with rage.
1.This HISS is asking for a tip. It's a machine!!! Who does the money go to??? It says "staff" in bright print, but which ones?
2.This landlord who asked for a tip on the rent must be delusional.
3.This passive-aggressive reminder to tip the staff actually makes the company, not the customer, look like crap. Why do you say this as if it is our responsibility to pay your employees when YOU hire them? PAY THEM MORE. Even charge us more, I don't care! But don't pull this shit!!!
4.This cafe also didn't seem to realize that this reflects badly on them.
5.I feel like this HAS to be a joke. Who do I tip??? The park??? The trees?
6.This person had their house siding replaced for $40,000...and was asked to pay tips on their installments.
7.I want the kitchen staff to come into their own, I really do. But if we don't already pay for it in the price of the food, what are we paying for??? Why don't YOU tip your kitchen staff, giant chain restaurant?
8.The tipping percentage is also getting out of control. Who the hell suggests a 50% tip?
9.Asking for a tip at a SELF-TREATMENT CASH is going too far. You literally tip for your own service, but you don't get paid.
10.What hobbit nonsense is this second tip bullcrap???
11.This is absolutely ridiculous. Who drinks MORE than the cost of the service???
12.This check suggested a tip of 77%, because at this point, why not?
13.There is no reason to have to drink when buying online.
14.And now they add TAX on tips???
15.This place flat out lied about what different tip percentages equate to.
16.This place charged a 20% "service charge" - and still expected a tip.
17.This delivery app tried to encourage people to give tips for faster service. This feels super cheesy, and I also HATE when you're expected to tip before the service happens, since tipping is supposed to be based on how good the service is.
18.This new hire sheet specifies that workers are not tipped β and this is the reason for my trust issues around tips, people!!! I want the person I tip to actually get the tip.
19.I feel like it's illegal, but I also feel like way too many people are getting money shaved off their tips as well, and it pisses me off.
20.This platform was literally calling people out for not tipping.
21.And this site wouldn't even let you complete your transaction without tipping at least 10% - nor would they let you tip a custom percentage or amount.
22.This unattended public toilet had a lace can. TIPS FOR WHOM?
23.This delivery driver expected a tip.
24.Like this driver, who took the time to send a message to the recipient via the Amazon app, which is meant to be used when a driver is having trouble delivering an item.
25.I am truly at a loss for words. Where the hell is this "tip" going? That little bunny?
26.And finally, I still feel there needs to be a better system for printing tips, since servers can do this.
